At 80, Josefina spends her days pulling a homemade pushcart she nicknames "Marido" (Husband), searching for hidden recycling, which she sees as "emeralds" in the trash bags. Her friendship with Natalia (the story's narrator), who relives her own past by recognizing in Josefina the same mischievous look and spirit as her late grandmother, will lead to a journey of reconciliation with the past.
